Driver hospitalized after Lake County municipal truck crashes into business in Libertyville

A Lake County Facilities Operations employee was injured after crashing his work truck all the way into a car repair business in Libertyville Wednesday afternoon.

The Libertyville Police Department and Libertyville Fire Department responded around 12:17 p.m. Wednesday to the AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care, 1406 North Milwaukee Avenue.

Libertyville Police Department Lt. Matt Goze said officers received a call for a pickup truck that had driven into the business.

Amazon Is the Target of Small-Business Antitrust Campaign

WASHINGTON—Merchant groups are forming a national coalition to campaign for stricter antitrust laws, including measures they hope could force Amazon.com Inc. to spin off some of its business lines.

The effort is being launched Tuesday by trade groups that represent small hardware stores, office suppliers, booksellers, grocers and others, along with business groups from 12 cities, organizers say. Merchants plan to push their congressional representatives for stricter antitrust laws and tougher enforcement of existing ones.

Officials: Oklahoma reaches $25 million settlement with Farmers Insurance over earthquake claims

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Following devastating earthquakes in Oklahoma, state leaders say they have finally reached a settlement agreement with Farmers Insurance.

From 2010 through May of 2016, officials say only 19 percent of earthquake insurance claims in Oklahoma were paid.

In fact, many homeowners who suffered significant earthquake damage had their claims denied because the insurance companies deemed the damage as just settling.

Now, Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter and Insurance Commissioner Glen Mulready say they have reached a $25 million settlement with Farmers Insurance for the company’s handling of earthquake claims.
