WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – A WEST WICHITA BUSINESS HAD A VISITOR EARLIER THIS WEEK. A DEER DECIDED TO JUMP THROUGH THE GLASS WINDOW, causing all kinds of damage.

“You could say we had an extra visitor. Even the wildlife is coming to play at the barnyard,” Barnyard Indoor Playground owner Chloe Stodle said.

FORTUNATELY THE PLAYGROUND WAS CLOSED MONDAY MORNING, WHEN THIS ALL HAPPENED. However, NEIGHBORING BUSINESS OWNER, ROGER ROLLMANN SAW THE GLASS AND THEN DISCOVERED THE INTRUDER.

“I seen the deer in here panicking,” Rollman said.

Luckily HE KNOWS A THING OR TWO ABOUT THIS SO HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO.

“I eased my way around to this one side where the deer was over in that corner. It faced me and looked at me,” Rollman said. “I moved toward this area and it stood at the glass window and jumped out the same window it came in.”

IN HIS PANIC, THE DEER LEFT BEHIND a HUGE MESS AND SENT BROKEN GLASS EVERYWHERE.

A lot of the playground is ruined and destroyed because I‘m going to have to replace all the flooring and the seating. Several of the toys that were damaged in the process. That’s really challenging to accept,” Stodle said.

THE PANDEMIC already COST HER BUSINESS A LOT OF MONEY. JUST WHEN THINGS WERE PICKING UP AGAIN, this happened.

the kids need a safe place. it has to be done just right, I won’t tolerate any less for these little friends that I’ve already loved,” Stodle said.

THE BARNYARD PARENTS HAVE SET UP A GOFundME TO RAISE MONEY SO THE BUSINESS CAN REOPEN. CLick here if you’d like to donate.
