Nevada looks for people owed millions in unclaimed money | Las Vegas Local Breaking News, Headlines

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevadans may have money owed to them, and not even know it.

State Treasurer Zach Conine said Nevada wants to find those people and give it back. He said there is more than $950 million as part of the state’s Unclaimed Property program.

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — As many people around the state recover from the winter storm, some homeowners have the difficult choice of choosing a contractor and filing insurance claims.

For some Texans, water and electricity remain an issue on the heels of the winter storm, but for others, the road to recovery has already begun.

California cop says Newsom recall driven by small business owners, working people

A California police officer urged his city council on Thursday to sign a petition to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom because his administration represents the culmination of years of bad policy decisions that are hurting the state.

Adam Garcia, who has worked in law enforcement for nearly 20 years, cited failed policies that have made the state a “safe haven for criminals” and caused violence to skyrocket – problems that have been made worse by the pandemic and Newsom’s response to it.

Garcia told Fox News on Sunday he felt compelled to speak out because of how bad things have gotten.
